Injune Hwang

I am a visiting researcher in Cognitive Learning for Vision and Robotics Lab (CLVR) at KAIST led by Prof. Joseph Lim. Currently, I focus on reinforcement learning and robotics.

I have been working with Joseph since when I was in LG Electronics as a research intern for half a year. Before that, I finished my Master's at Biointelligence Lab, at Seoul National University, advised by Prof. Byoung-Tak Zhang. My research topic was about combining the active learning, online learning, and semi-supervised learning in ML domain.

Research

My primary interest is to develop machine intelligence by imitating human learning, inspired by how the human mind develops through interactions, and in turn understand human learning by investigating intelligent systems. In a way to achieve this goal, I'm currently studying the fields of contiual concept formation, active learning and reinforcement learning.
